Time for “UNITED PHYSICIANS”–One Voice Advocating for All Physicians -

UnitedPhysicians

Dear Colleagues,

Now, more than ever, we need an organization that fights for goals common to all physicians. The primary mission of UNITED PHYSICIANS is to advance the interests of physicians and patients and protect the physician-patient relationship. UNITED PHYSICIANS (unitedphysicians.org) is a novel physician association that uses today’s technology to create “participatory” instead of “representative” governance. All meetings are held openly, on the internet. Every member can vote on every issue. Advocacy projects must be supported by at least a two third majority vote to move forward. There are no delegates, no representatives, and no “board.”

No start up dues, just a simple, 30 second application. All we need is your name, email, and either now or later, your National Physician Identification number (NPI) and/or state medical license number (information will not be shared).

UNITED PHYSICIANS advocates as a unified physician voice for quality patient care. Physicians set the agenda by voting on proposed projects. UNITED PHYSICIANS advocacy on any issue requires a two thirds majority of physician support, thus creating an organization that represents almost all physicians. Sign up takes under 30 seconds. No fees. Future fees must be approved by a majority vote. Physician leadership is unpaid. Start-up costs are supported by the National Board of Physicians and Surgeons (NBPAS) but UNITED PHYSICIANS is a completely independent organization directed solely by member voting.

United Physicians is aggressively inclusive. We want every physician to be involved, no matter what their political leaning. We are a platform that can help discover what physicians care about and agree on. We do not compete with other organizations. Ideally, other organizations will use the platform; and its free.
