Ascension Saint Thomas West Accepts NBPAS Certification!

I wanted to share that Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown now accepts board certification from the National Board of Physicians and Surgeons (NBPAS). If you’re not familiar, NBPAS was created by physicians as a more practical, cost-effective alternative to the traditional Maintenance of Certification (MOC) pathway provided by ABMS. I applaud our hospital leadership for recognizing this option!

Applying is straightforward—it takes just 6 minutes, with 50 specialty-specific CME credits required every two years. NBPAS now certifies over 14,000 physicians and is accepted at more than 200 hospitals nationwide, including seven in Tennessee.
